We all know it is standard to win prizes for anything from best in show to commendation for valor on the battlefield. But what about the many non-traditional milestones that may go unrecognized?

New England artists have created work in both 2-D and 3-D applications, inventing ways to give recognition for activities and behaviors that may have heretofore gone unnoticed. This exhibition, jointly curated by Amy Johnquest and Jill St.Coeur, explores artists uncommon takes on merits, awards, prizes, badges, trophies, and more.

An interactive part of the exhibition invites gallery visitors to invent and display their own certificate of merit.
18 Artists were selected from an open, on-line, call for entry to New England artists.
